About This Event
DFW Fiber Fest has been built on a dual foundation — providing an educational venue and producing a well-curated vendor hall for fiber enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Educationally, the goal is to encompass many areas of fiber craft — knitting, crochet, spinning and related crafts such as weaving and dyeing. Each year, they work to bring a slate of nationally — and internationally — known fiber instructors and speakers, as well as draw from the wealth of knowledge offered by our local and regional teachers in each of our subject areas.
The vendor hall is a juried show providing a great variety of fiber vendors, providing raw and processed fibers, beautiful yarns, and all kinds of tools and supplies that provide participants and shoppers a single location where attendees can touch, sample and purchase products that are not always readily available. The majority of the vendors are local and regional vendors — local yarn shops, farm-based shops and locally-based independent fiber artists — but we also are able to present more nationally-known vendors to spice up the mix.
